I do not feel the string freeze affects the docs, so you should feel free to update them. The string freeze is due to the way application translation works. If you change a string the the translation fails so instead of seeing Italian you'll see the (new,changed) string. The docs however are all standalone. Changing the English docs won't cause the German docs to display English..

Or does the string freeze only apply to text embedded in code and not to the Help Manual or Concept Guide (my changes would only be to section 9.4 of the Help Manual, by the way)?
