Hello,

I had a notebook running Windows XP and I was running GnuCash on it with XML file. Then we have switched over to mysql. Saving from GnuCash to mysql was not an issue. But when I have attempted to restart GnuCash it crashed when attempted to access mysql. I went back to our Linux desktop and ran the same version of GnuCash - no issue whatsoever. Back to Windows - crash again. Installed GnuCash on Vista and it was not a problem. So I singled out XP as a problem and forgot about it till better days. At some point I've got myself new notebook with fresh install XP. Applied all updates, installed GnuCash and faced the same crash again. So it appears that something in GnuCash does not work well with XP when mysql is used. Crash reported in M$ module and not GnuCash itself. I will not post all details right now hoping that it is known problem and someone have a quick fix. I could not find anything similar in mailing list. I would be happy to provide necessary information to investigate this crash. I do not consider it as major problem (given that it works on Vista and Linux) but somewhat inconvenience and perhaps it would be welcomed by wider community running XP.

Regards,
Vladimir
