What is the best way to get it?
I have always been puzzled that projects do not routinely make their
documentation available in PDF form vs. online web pages. I would think
it would make sense to have it on a download page on the gnucash website.

Well, I used the trunk again and the guide (pdf version) built
fine--as far as I know I did nothing different!
Anyhow, it's about 7 Mb bzipped, 8 Mb unzipped. Still want it Ray?

Did you just "make pdf"?
