Or at least it wasn't what I was asking about. What happens now, what happens given the proposal, if the user does not enter a transaction time? WHAT time gets entered? (what value is used for the time component and if not a constant value, upon what does it depend?) My question is related to the "stability" of sort operations (a sort is "stable" if/f when a set of records is sorted by field X, the relative order of records which have the same value in field X is the same after the sort as before).
