Hi Andi, now that's I've been able to check again the run-time effect of that weird preference, here's my proposal:

It removes the preference and treats it as > always active. Here is what that means: > > * registers for accounts with euro currencies, like ITL, will print all > amounts in both, ITL and EUR to the summary bar Ok. Just treat this as always-on, like your patch does. > * the summary bar in the accounts tree view shows an additional line for > EUR totals I highly doubt whether this extra line has been paid attention to by anyone anywhere during the last 2-3 years. I for one haven't realized it is there, until now. I see no additional value by this extra line - people interested in the euro value can have their assets . I'd vote to throw this extra line out completely. If the code should still be left in there, we could remove the preference but leave the gconf key there (but with a more precise name: "Extra EUR line in summary bar", disabled by default), so that interested users can still activate it, but normal users don't have to care. Thanks for the patch! Christian _______________________________________________ gnucash-devel mailing list gnucash-devel@gnucash.org https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-devel
