I see. I've written a few functions for this, and I've put the code
in qofutil.c and qofutil.c. I'm not sure if they belong there,
though. I could prepare a patch if you think something like that will
be put in the code.
qofutil is probably the right place.. Feel free to submit a patch. If
you dont want it to get lost you might want to submit it to bugzilla
and send a reference here. Or both. Doesn't really matter, but sometimes
patches sent here DO fall through the cracks.
