13844 is definitely better. In what testing I've done, register entry
is stable, I can readily enter transactions that affect the account
balance, and so far, no Orphan transactions.
Has keyboard navigating in autosplit mode always been so complex? For
example, the cell from which you type a Return significantly affects
where the focus ends up, and how much more keying is required to get
to the next blank transaction. (As it happens, I don't normally use
autosplit, because I use Notes instead of Memos (I'll regret that
someday soon, though) and the 'commotion' on the screen while
changing transactions in autosplit irritates me.)
