Do not put similar files in two totally different places. Neither the source tree nor the wiki contains any text about building on Debian so far. The point is that the notes should be added *somewhere*. BUT a document containing this notes, just like every document, needs some editing before it can be stored forever. Neither Derek nor me nor any other active developers are very inclined to do this right now (busy with coding). That is why Derek suggested that anyone else who is reading here right now could help with this task by simply putting it into the wiki, where everyone has write-access and everyone can edit the document until it is in a good, readable shape and can be understood by everyone interested. Once this is done, we would happily copy the finished document into SVN. > AFAIC, I would look for installation instructions within the sources, > not within the web site. If we made a poll, we would probably discover half of the people answer "sources" and the other half answer "web site". Both are suitable places.
