What happens if you hit "enter" to actually post the line-item to the invoice?
Right now you haven't actually finished entering the line-item.

Is the invoice amount non-zero on the invoice dialog before you post it?

Yes it is the correct amount.

Could you show a screen shot of the invoice before you post it?
