g-wrap v 1.9 or later is required if gcc4 is used, so on Debian unstable, that has to be g-wrap 1.9.5 (with the gwrap runtime dependency : libgwrap-runtime0.) gwrapguile v1.3.x only works with gcc 3.4 or earlier.
