The biggest problem was that it was passing a NULL instead of the
book pointer
to dom_tree_to_commodity_ref_no_engine.
I've made a few other tweaks too.
Oh, you changed the converter API? If so you should run a 'find | xargs grep'
and make sure you fix it EVERYWHERE..
