Hello,

the startup time of GnuCash 1.8.8 on my FreeBSD 4.10 system is incredible long.
It takes about 3 minutes to show the splash screen and then 2 minutes more to show the main window.

These time-values are taken on a dual P3 800MHz, 512KB Cache, 2GB RAM, Gnome 2.6.2.

I tried to find out what's going on, so I used "gnucash --debug --loglevel 6".
There is no output until the splash window comes up.

What' s going in there, why is it so slow?

Many thanks for your answers.

Jürgen

PS: GnuCash was installed via "pkg_add -r gnucash"
