I'd suggest you work with Linas on the QOF code in CVS HEAD and in
particular work with him on the new SQL integration with SQLite.  Then
you dont need an "autosave" feature because your data will be saved on
every entry.
 

What about those people who don't use SQL?  Auto-save would be a nice 
feature.
