I notice that in the transaction report (and presumuably others) a large
table is produced. A problem occurs if a background colour is set but
there is no entry in a particular cell. When the report is viewed on the
screen the background of each cell is properly set, however if the
result is exported to HTML, all the browsers I have seen will fail to
set the background colour if the cell is blank.
The typical workaround to this is to insert a non-breaking space into
the cell ( )
So my question is, is it the responsibility of gnucash to put these
non-breaking spaces in or is it the responsibility of gtkhtml (which
actually produces the HTML)? I can see viewpoints for both sides.
