I don't think you are using the currency account correctly.  Presuming
the account security is EUR and the currency is DEM, the 'bought' and
'sold' fields are always in EUR, and the value and balance is always
in DEM, otherwise vice versa.

Thus, the price field should always be the same for the fixed
exchange rate.
