I'm currently using 1.3.8 on Mandrake 7.01. I downloaded the RPMS from
the gnucash site. I normally display registers in 'auto double'.
The problem: When I complete a transaction, e.g., a check, I click on
the number field, press '+' and then I continue to the field under the
check number and select 'check', I then fill in the 'Description' field
with the name of the Payee, I then fill in the field under the
'Description' field with a memo as to what the check is for and then the
transfer field and lastly the payment field with the amount of the
check. So far everything is fine. Under 1.3.7, when I right clicked and
then selected 'record' all fields were displayed and I would click on
"Blank" in the top menu and continue with the next check. Again all
fields were displayed. Under 1.3.8, however, the field under the check
number and the field under the description are no longer displayed,
i.e., they display as blank. For checks that were entered with version
1.3.7, the fields are still displayed. Only checks entered under 1.3.8
display this behavior. If I click on one of the 'erroneously' displayed
checks, then all fields are displayed and displayed correctly. If i then
click on another entry, the fields are again hidden, i.e., not
displayed.
Is this a new 'feature' or a bug?
