The printed output problem is solved. I have waiting "in the wings" a
version of our htmlWindow object that uses gtk-html underneath, which
supports gnome-print directly and makes very nice printed output from
html. Expect to see it in the CVS tree as soon as the 1.5 development
series starts in a couple of weeks.

I don't doubt that the reporting infrastructure can be improved, but
let me suggest that you stay with HTML as the output format for the
time being. Those text layout problems are a pain in the butt, and
it's best to let somebody else solve them (i.e. gtkhtml).

It may also make sense to have translators to other output formats
besides HTML, but the reports that exist now would make easy fodder
for even the most basic HTML->whatever converter.
