OK, I've been playing with the new find dialog.

1: it really highlights something that's bothered me for a long time about the
register: the fact that, for a multi-line display, the first line displays the
amount in the wrong column. Before you could put up with it, because you knew
what account was ass-backwards -- it was the account for the window you had
open. Now it's just screwed up.

2. Transactions can appear more than once. That seems pretty durn wacky.

Using it in the budget report.

Each budget line corresponds to a query. So it'd be nice to be able
to use the query mechanism. Right now, on a budget line, you specify a list of
accounts, plus there is an additional filter-pred entry. Additional filtering
is done by date from the report parameters.

filter-pred is not used very often. it was added so you could say "debits
only" or "credits only". (this is useful when budgeting on an asset or
liability account)

I can see it as useful if you could further filter for budget lines -- for
example, some people may not have a large set of accounts, and use the
description line to do further subdivision.

Anyways, I'd like to be able to save a query in a budget line, modify the dates
to correspond with the report parameters, and get a list of Split*'s all from
my scheme budget report.
