I agree with Yannick, we definitively lack Euro support.
And not only for french users. The following countries
converted to Euro:
Austria 1 Euro = 13.7603 S
Belgium 1 Euro = 40.3399 bfrs
Finnland 1 Euro = 5.94573 Fmk
France 1 Euro = 6.55957 FF
Germany 1 Euro = 1.95583 DM
Ireland 1 Euro = 0.787564 IRP
Italy 1 Euro = 1936.27 Lit
Luxembourg 1 Euro = 40.3399 lfrs
Netherlands 1 Euro = 2.20371 hfl
Portugal 1 Euro = 200.482 Esc
Spain 1 Euro = 166.386 Ptas
Other countries are expected to join the Euro soon.
The excange rates are fixed by law and will never change,
so they can be hardcoded into GnuCash.
Some accounts are already Euro now, for example all my stock and
mutual funds accounts. So far I manually convert the Euro
amounts from my account statements to DM and enter them to
GnuCash.
