We had this discussion a couple of weeks ago...
I think what we need is a 'sell stock' extension like this:
1. Query the user account, date, amount and price of stock to sell.
2. Search through the account to find the price(s) the stock was
bought
(configurable FIFO or LIFO) and compute profit/loss.
3. Query the user the account for the profit/loss.
4. Query aditional splits, e.g. brokerage fees.
5. Enter the transaction.
This may be a good application for a Gnome Druid.
