I've been trying unsuccessfully to build gnucash on an SuSE 6.3 machine. I read the README.SuSE but alas it hasn't been all that much help. This readme mentions a few other required packages and states they should be availble for download from ft..gnucash.org -- alas, they are not. So, after several iterations of locating packages, trying a build, learning what else is needed I've come to a dead-end. Having little exposure to various libraries and their contents I'm at a loss as to where to find a couple of missing functions -- XmeDrawShadows and XmeRedisplayGadgets. I've nm|grep scanned all my installed libraries with no success which leaves me with questions. Are these unresolved functions contained in a missing or updated library? If so which one and where can I download it from? If this is not the result of a missing or out-of-date library what else do I need to investigate? btw: It is interesting that SuSE advertises including gnucash in the 6.3 release.
