We might want to look at the Gnome Druids (i.e., wizard dialogs)
that are designed just for ths sort of thing. They are composed
of pages where you answer questions, and the user can move back
and forth through the pages and hit 'finish' at the end, or
'cancel' anytime.
The advantage there would be a consistent look and feel for all
the 'helper' scripts.
