Actually, my experience is that even if you have the latest slib you may
still have problems if it is not installed in the right place (or at
least a link to /usr/share/guile/slib -> /usr/share/slib).
So ... either install slib in /usr/share/guile or create a symbolic link
to that location, then run it as root once.
