No problem here, either.  In the end, I think many of us just want the
best solution to the problem (and that often implies several somewhat
different solutions).  Some people actually seem to prefer vi to
emacs, after all :>

If it really did turn out that some other free-software project was
consistently doing a much better job, then we'd just have to consider
merging code, joining them, or picking something else interesting to
hammer on.  That's how it's supposed to work, after all.

I suspect that GnuCash has a pretty good future, though.

Time will tell.
