hello listers..

i feel an intense need to manage my life's finances, but unfortunately i'm not getting
very far. when i saw gnucash.org, i became enamored with the program, and decided
that i needed to have it. alas, i have found that gnucash hasn't opened up its life
to me like i had hoped. (the way ical came into my life- a program that i spend
quality time with daily.) i think gnucash just may not have enough time to spend with
me. i demand a lot of attention, dammit, and i need some -one... i mean -thing to
help me through my tough times...

ok ok, so i carried that on a bit too far... i'll get down to the purpose of this
message, with a little less padding:

-need financial organization program.
-hate windows.
-suck at hacking code.
-suck at finding/installing a million dependencies.
-have redhat installed.
-therefore, need gnucash rpm.
-there isn't one.
-there doesn't appear to be one coming within the next few days.
-thinking of devoting my life to cbb instead.
-gnucash has one last chance.
-if fellow lister can walk me through installation procedure.
-or point me to super docs that can walk a monkey through install.
-failing that, cbb, here i come.

so.. what do you folks think? should i dump her? or try and work through this little
quarrel, in hopes of a strong relationship in the future?
