Did you use "cvs -z3 update -d" to get the sources?
(the -d is critical).
Did you do a "make distclean && configure YOUROPTIONS" before the
"make motif"?
If not, try these first. Some files moved around in the last update,
so without a make distlclean and a reconfigure, you could have stale
Makefiles.
If that doesn't help, we'll try something else...
