Public bug reported: Impact ====== As announced when Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 was released, Ubuntu GNOME users will be upgraded to the regular Ubuntu desktop when they upgrade to the next stable release.
This means that ubuntu-gnome-desktop will become a transitional package depending on ubuntu-desktop. For people who prefer a more upstream GNOME experience, the Ubuntu GNOME desktop would like to provide a new vanilla-gnome-desktop metapackage which is basically a continuation of what ubuntu-gnome-desktop used to be. We have no intention of making iso's for this vanilla GNOME. So it's time to stop building the ubuntu-gnome daily ISOs now too.
