Often when I attach my laptop to external video beamer with long VGA cable, it happens that the cable has broken DDC pins. Display Settings are not able to detect the external monitor. I'm able to workaround this forcing the output throu the xrandr command line. I'd like to find in Display Settings a way to support this situation. May I suggest to such kind of feature?
