When I resize a window by clicking and dragging on its border with my mouse, a new small window appears showing the window size (for example 80x24). When I resize a window using my keyboard short-cut (ALT-F8), no small window appears. I would like the new small window to appear when I resize windows using the keyboard short-cut. How can I do this?
This small window appears, when resizing with the mouse, with GNOME Terminal and some other applications (e.g. Emacs), but not others (e.g. LibreOffice). I am using GNOME Shell 3.14.1 on Debian Testing.
