Rahul are you sure you have pressure sensitivity enabled? From your description it sounds like this might not be the case. It should be pretty hard to accidentally trigger the message tray if pressure sensitivity is working. I believe this requires xorg-server 1.14, so it's not available in Ubuntu 13.04 or openSUSE 12.3, even if you are using GNOME 3.8.
