Why not just show the tiled workspaces on the right at all times? As they are seen in overview mode. [I thought I saw an extension that did that??] Depending on the display there is quite limited horizontal space in the top bar. > @Adam Tauno Williams: > You suggest to use keyboard shortcuts to switch between workspaces. > This isn't a good solution to the problem because: > * The solution is invisible to the user. > * The solution is too technical for the average user. Please don't *insult* the "average user". They are simply *not* that fantastically stupid. > * You need more hands (two hands instead of one) ? With your method I'd move my hands from the keyboard TO the mouse and then back again. > * You need more fingers (three instead of one) True. > The advantage of workspace tabs is that the user only needs one > mouse-click to switch between workspace (and, if organized well, > between applications). ? Motion pointer to the hot-zode (overview appears), click on the desired workspace. _______________________________________________ gnome-shell-list mailing list gnome-shell-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-shell-list
