Hi Artur, This would be a nice extension; maybe you could submit it to the GNOME Shell extensions repo: <https://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell/Extensions>. I can't see them not accepting such an extension, and this is probably a better idea than submitting a patch to the code of the main project.
