I was wondering if there were any plans regarding the behaviour of programs
that need root privileges ( RootSudo or how root privileges window is called
in Ubuntu) like for e.g. synaptic package manager?

If you open such an application with drag and drop from activities menu it
doesn't show anything on that workspace and if you go to that space, admin
privileges window is there locking the entire workspace ( at least that's
what happened in the last version that I was using - today I built a new
version in which I can't drag-drop items returned by activities find
function ). The part that there's no indication of this in activities mode
is a bit annoying - the first time I encountered this I drag-dropped
synaptic three times or so and after that activities find stopped working...

It would be better if program opening indication would be visible in
activities mode - for example a dummy loading icon on the workspace where
application is being opened on the same location where window will be shown
after the application is opened. This would be useful for all the
applications.

It would be even better that there would be an entire workspace lock
indication for applications like root privileges window that lock a
workspace. Or perhaps a way for gnome-shell to show this window above
everything else even while in activities mode forcing you to take action
before continuing. Would it even be possible in gnome-shell to distinguish
such windows from all the other windows?

Is this a gnome-shell or Ubuntu root privileges window handling problem?

regards,
Domen
