I just checked the current gnome-shell now allows you to delete windows from
there.  I don't think you can resize since the view is in "thumbnail" so it
doesn't make sense to resize it there.  They just have an X over the
application which is better than right click.  Overall you want to present
as much information in front of the user rather than hiding it in a right
click menu.  My two cents.
