I understand your argument and I agree with that. You can raise a bug to track the request. If others feel that it would add confusion, later you can mark it as junk. As of now, recent docs can only be opened in their default applications. So, need to give an option, so that user can choose his fav app. Currently I'm struggling to make menu widget work.
