Have a look at GNUstep or Etoile if you want to join the grand UI adventure! GNUstep is an open source implementation of the NeXTSTEP (now known as Cocoa at Apple) desktop interface,Etoile is a desktop built on GNUstep. Both projects need to pick up users and developers so go have a look and get back into the adventure of computers!
