Hi,

FWIW I have a similar tool, also with a few settings at the top:
https://gitlab.com/askhl/pygnomegitpo

Typical use is

  cttgnomegit.py --pull --commit <author> *.po

followed by (requires confirmation for each file)

  cttgnomegit.py --push *.po
