Sorry: I mistook GNOME_26 for 2.26 rather than 2.6, so thought a branch
had been created, and then

String thaw is over, so enable error message - usually help not found
because no gvfs is installed.
So, thaw hadn't happened yet.
gnome-2-26 duly branched from just before that commit... (please check)
