Hi, Sorry to disappoint you, but as a native Romanian speaker I can assure you that "almanah" certainly isn't a synonym for "diary" in Romanian. "Almanah" usually reffers to an annual publication that includes a calendary and a sum of articles, usually on a certain theme. If you speak a bit of Romanian you may check all the dictionary definitions for "almanah" here: http://dexonline.ro/search.php?cuv=almanah .
