Hi, intltool version 0.40.0 adds the very nice feature of being able to skip whole directories by adding the directory name to POTFILES.skip. This allowed us to set an end to the insanity of maintaining six different POTFILES.skip files whenever a new file is added in the GIMP source tree:

Currently there are tons of warnings on http://l10n.gnome.org/module/gimp due to the fact that intltool 0.40.0 is needed for GIMP. I would like to link to this page from the release notes. But with all those warnings, that would give a wrong impression.
