my fix for http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339156 was committed today.
before, Evolution had the following string: #: ../plugins/groupwise-features/proxy-add-dialog.glade.h:15 #: ../ui/evolution-mail-message.xml.h:127 msgid "_Read" the "_Read" in the glade file means "Permission to read", the "_Read" in the xml file means "Has been read". so ALL translation of this have been wrong. we have split this into two different strings by using context. it looks like this in the po files: #. Translators: "Read" as in "has been read" (evolution-mail-message.xml) #: ../ui/evolution-mail-message.xml.h:127 msgid "_Read" #. To Translators: strip the part in front of the | and the | itself #: ../plugins/groupwise-features/proxy-add-dialog.glade.h:15 msgid "permission to read|_Read" i know that using context (that "bla|" string) is error-prone and MANY translations (tamil, telugu, georgian, dzongkha, romanian, marathi, albanian, mongolian, slovenian, ukrainian, bengali, malayalam) have wrong translations: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/buglist.cgi?short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&short_desc=context&product=l10n&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_status=NEEDINFO&bug_status=RESOLVED some of the translators do not even read the comments for these strings! we might want to switch to msgctxt in 2.23, see http://live.gnome.org/AndreKlapper/MsgctxtMigration . thanks, andre -- mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] | failed http://www.iomc.de/ | http://blogs.gnome.org/aklapper
