If you change the original, damned-lies will update automatically the message catalogs, which will include three fuzzy translations. This change is done outside the SVN, which will be updated only when the translators commit the updates.
IMHO, you shouldn't mark the messages as correctly translated, ie, I don't think you should touch the PO files in the SVN. If the words were badly chosen, then some translators may have misunderstood them, and marking the translations as fuzzy might warn them to check them again.
