Separate from whether anyone sponsors your conference fee or not, to
take advantage of the "GNOME Hackfest" price (equivalent to the student
price), please put the word "GNOME" into the "Student ID Number" field
on the registration page, at: http://aegis-conference.eu/pages/register.html

By the Foundation? I'd say, probably not. Looking at the Travel
committee page [1], it says:

Currently the Travel Committee reimburses only for travel costs (plane
ticket, train ticket) and lodging costs (hotel, hostel) for GNOME
Foundation members needing travel assistance to GNOME related events.
Food, taxes, extra charges for credit cards, visas, etc. are not
reimbursed.

If another funding source saw fit to help folks out, however, that might
be helpful.
