Just to mention that after some discussion on bugzilla (see [1]), we are thinking that perhaps a better name for this new function would be atk_text_get_string_at_offset(). Thus, that's the name we will propose to use in ATK, at-spi2-core, at-spi2-atk and pyatspi, if nobody is against that.
