md5sum gromacs-3.3.1-1.i386.rpm
to what's printed on the website.
No, that's not interesting - the md5sum on the website is only for
the source - it's embedded in the RPM.
this is on redhat machine....
As it says on the website, the RPMs were created on CentOS4. Your
kernel is 2.4.21, which sounds like a pretty old OS - it might not
work with newer RPMs. Try building from source instead.
Gromacs uses shared libraries in the RPM, so 3-4Mb sounds about right.
