When visualizing tickets (on 1024 pixel wide screen), the Description

area is far too narrow, forcing text to wrap unnaturally. It appears

to be approximately 64 charaters wide. Many people who write text

assume minimum 80 character width, so this narrowness causes

unnecessary and ugly linewraps.

Further, the narrowness causes inefficient use of screen real estate:

a moderate length ticket requires vertical scrolling. If the text was

wider, it would fit in a screenful without scrolling.

The Linked tickets area, which seems to be there to prevent the

Description area from being full screen width, is particlarly annoying

waste of screen real estate: often there are no linked tickets, and

when there are, they are only one or two. This does not justify

spending half of the screen real estate on them.

Finally, even if I stretch my browser window to be wider, rather than

making the text area wider, the layout adds white bars to both

sides. This is really stupid.

How can I change the layout of this (and other) screens to be more

reasonable?

Cheers,
