In our organization, we are evaluating the possibility of implementing an
inventory tool from an in-house development. We are evaluating whether to
use GLPI or not. While it's not exactly what we want, it's very close to it.
How feasible would it be to implement changes into GLPI?
So, for example, we already have an existing ticketing system (RT) we are
happy with. Would it be easy to decouple GLPI's ticketing system and
integrating our RT?
Can we create custom fields and/or hide some of the fields easily?
Is there an interface in GLPI to export data out, so that automatic scripts
can browse the inventory easily? Or is direct access to the database
allowed/possible/encouraged?
Would modifications need to be implemented as a fork, or is there a
comprehensive plugin system in GLPI?
