Hello, Here is the initial (beta) version of the custom fields plugin that I developed for the Oregon government (State Data Center). The State Data Center is releasing it to support the open source community. The Custom Fields plugin allows administrators to add additional data fields to the main device types (computers, monitors, software, networks, devices, printers, and phones). It is an easy-to-use solution for organizations that need to track information that is not included in the default GLPI fields. Some things to be aware of: * The French translation is incomplete. It needs to be finished. Once that is complete the plugin is ready for public release. * Because this plugin extends existing device types, I found it necessary to modify two core files to create my own "hooks" to enable logging and mass updates. It would be good if the GLPI developers could add some generic hooks in the next version of GLPI so that it will not be necessary to use a patch in the future. * It would be great if a GLPI expert could read the code and suggest any improvements.
