  In chel di` si favelave...

We are very happy to announce to you the birth of the prerelease of the
GLPI v0.4 7 days in advance.

Ok, i've update my cvs local repository and tested glpi. I'cve not test
upgrade from 0.3X because i've no data at all here, so i've cleaned up
the database and start from a fresh install.

I'm very impressed, glpi now have 99.9% of what i was looking for in
IRM... and it is only version 0.4! ;)))

I've to test the new IMAP and LDAP connection, for now i've found only
this ``problem'', not really bugs but features.

1) sorry, i think i'm dumb but i've not found a way to post request
apart helpdesk.html (as helpdesk user).

You have to create user's with the right type "post-only".
As others users it's possible to post a new maintain job from the form witch describe a computer (had a new job for this item).

2) i think that are better if status and priority are coded in the
database, configurable and changeble by the (at least) >=tech user.

3) i think that are better to have disabled feature (setup for a normal
user, eg) not visible at all... eg, in the request detail page, the
``close the request'' button are visible also for normal user, but
clearly are not usable.

It would surely be better, but I think that's not really important to add this on now.

We have planned to make lots of change on the database model for the next version this may impact in a large part of the code, so it would probably be done in this same time.

2 - for german and italian people, you can help us in working on the
translation of the dictionaries and the help files.
Indeed, some parts of the dictionaries are not yet translated and were
initialized out of the english version.

I'm starting doing this, how many time i have?

Thank's a much for translating.
We added a tools in order to make it easier, you'll find it on the rep /dicts/transrapi.php.

The packaged 0.4 version is for the first days of October (I think october the 4th).
