The gitlab-CE has been updated to version 6.0.2. But version 6 requires
gitlab-shell version 6.0.4:
gitlab (v10.5.6)$] git show 10-6-stable:GITLAB_SHELL_VERSION
6.0.4
but the latest version available at gitlab.com is 6.0.3:
gitlab-shell (v6.0.3)$] sudo -u git -H git fetch --all --tags
Fetching origin
gitlab-shell (v6.0.3)$] git tag -l 'v*.[0-9]' --sort='v:refname' | tail -3
v6.0.1
v6.0.2
v6.0.3
gitlab-shell (v6.0.3)$]
This has happened in the past, making updates crash, so now I do not even
attempt it. Perhaps the update instructions should be edited so that users
are instructed to check the availability of the necessary versions before
even stopping the gitlab server?...
